” If I put on cold mud, I could forget the pain for a while.”

That's what a child in the Syrian civil war.
It shows how much first aid kits are necessary for people in the third world who cannot afford medical medicines.

And as of 2015, UNICEF has distributed 116,597 first aid kits to areas where there are frequent injuries due to war, civil war, or natural disasters.
But a medical volunteer who was recently dispatched to a developing country says in an interview.

“They don't know the concept of treatment or treatment itself. I don't know how to use a first aid kit..”

So they can't use the first aid kit even if it's supplied?

The first problem is that the current first aid kit has written usage.

More than 260 million preschoolers and teenagers around the world can't do the basic reading.
In addition, according to a UN survey, as of 2011, as many as 774 million adults were unable to read and write.
In short, they can't use first aid kits they've never seen before.

The second problem, however, is that there is not enough manpower to educate it.

The KOICA Health Strategy Report states that "the lack of basic health care staff in developing countries is serious."

So you're going to supply first aid kits that can't be used?

In fact, these first aid kits are said to be available to health centers and medical facilities first.
The definition of first aid is to treat wounds or injuries urgently before going to hospitals and medical facilities.
So, when they get hurt, they apply mud on the wound first, and then go to the hospital for treatment with a first aid kit?

In this question, our project started.

LIFE CARD's Goals

1. Rediscover the value of first aid kits that were previously distributed and not used properly.
2. Increased value of first aid kits to be supplied in the future.
3. Realization of basic medical education in developing countries.

Improve the quality of life through proper treatment of diseases.

1. Those in need of emergency supplies due to bombing or natural disasters.

Experimental results

1. Card-kit matching test

   Match both treatment card and kit components and measure matching rate and difficulty
   Matching rate: 95.1%
   Difficulty: 3.53 (max: 10)

2. Card-Situation Matching Test

   Reason the situation of the situation card and measure the matching rate and difficulty.
   Matching rate: 96.7%
   Difficulty: 2.67 (max: 10)

3. First Aid Situation Test

   For 5 minutes, use the Life Card to learn how to treat a given emergency and perform first aid.
   Measure improvement in first aid after learning
   First Aid Self-Capability Assessment: 6.33 -> 8.47 (17.3% increase)
